Government Polytechnic Bijapur is a state-funded technical institution located in the aspirational district of Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. Established in 2010 under the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh, the institute is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai.
Situated in one of the most geographically and socially challenging regions of the state, the institute plays a vital role in bringing quality technical education to the doorstep of tribal and rural youth. We offer three-year diploma programs in Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering, designed to build strong technical foundations and prepare students for industry and higher education.

Government Polytechnic Bijapur was founded under the Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh, with Civil and Electrical Engineering departments.
The Mechanical Engineering department was launched, completing the three-branch diploma offering of the institute.
Major upgrades to laboratories including new surveying equipment, electrical machines, and a computer lab with internet connectivity.
The institute signed MoUs with 3 industries to strengthen placement support, internships, and industry-relevant training for students.
NMDC, CSPDCL, and other PSUs conducted on-campus recruitment, placing students in full-time and apprenticeship roles.
